Kahryn’s questions for Workshop 2 were driven by the apparent failure of the workshop between IGE and TOG to provide a pragmatic means of sample boosting, as described earlier, and were more exploratory in their conception, seeking to establish how far theoretical samples could be developed by bringing the two datasets together.

Anna recorded the conversations in both workshops in the form of written notes, and made an audio recording of Workshop 2. The audio recording, to which all group members consented, proved particularly helpful because it supported the Chair/s to engage more directly in the conversations. Records of both meetings have also significantly informed later work and analysis.
